Behaviour Therapist Position Teaching children with autism is a very unique profession and it requires patience, enthusiasm and commitment. Autism Partnership hires high caliber and energetic individuals to join us as Behavioral Therapists to implement 1:1 and group treatment programs. Intensive training on ABA methodology is provided. There are excellent opportunities for professional growth, development and promotion within the agency.

Behavior Therapists will implement both home-based and center-based treatment programs, observe and record students’ behaviours, monitor their progress, participate in clinic and team meetings, and receive pre-service and ongoing training from our Supervisors and Consultants. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with the following qualities:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A willingness to learn
  • Receptiveness to feedback
  • Creative, fun-loving and enthusiastic
  • Likes children and has a natural ability to engage a child in play

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Early Childhood or Special Education is preferred
  • Passion for working with children who have special needs.

Internship Program Our internship program provides 1 on 1 mentorship and training for University and Polytechnic students from different countries. Interns will work closely with a Behavioral Therapist to observe how to use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help children with autism spectrum disorder. Our interns will be provided the opportunity to:

  • Observe individual therapy and group sessions
  • Assist in data collection/video taping
  • Organise and prepare resource materials
  • Assist with administrative duties and day to day operations
  • Assist therapists on field trips and community training


Program Length The internship is available for a period of 3 to 6 months. Applicants should plan to be available for the entire program in order to attend trainings at the beginning of the program and final presentations at the end.

The internship should be considered a full-time position. Interns are expected to be in the office from 8:30-6:00pm, Monday – Friday.

  • Undergraduate or Graduate majoring in Psychology, Education or related degrees
  • Previous therapy experience is not required
  • Fluency in oral and written English
  • Child-friendly with a keen interest to learn
