INDIVIDUAL TREATMENT

Children in Singapore can benefit from individualized programs implemented by highly effective Autism Partnership staff!
In order to achieve the best from the ABA intervention, Autism Partnership supports clinic- and home-based instruction at our Singapore office. Supplementary services can be provided in schools, homes and community settings also.

Using a team approach, each child’s program is supported by multiple members. Each person is critical in achieving the best long-term outcome for the child.

  1. Behaviour Therapists conduct 1:1 or group intervention sessions designed to teach communication, cognitive, play, social and self-help skills. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques are utilized during all interventions. Important behavioral goals are targeted including reduction of stereotypic behavior, increasing tolerance, coping with stress and eliminating disruptive behavior. If clinically warranted, Behaviour Therapists provide shadow support to children while they attend school or activities with friends in the community. The number of weekly intervention hours is determined by the individual needs of the child: age, functioning level, length of treatment, school placement, etc. Direct intervention ranges from 15 to 30-40 hours per week.

  2. Case Supervisors provide assessment and program development. They monitor progress and make necessary refinements in the child’s program plan. Case Supervisors supervise and assist staff and parents with proper program implementation. They support all team members and parents in becoming a “behavioral expert” for the child. CSs are also involved with data review, report writing and facilitate communication with the school program. Case Supervisors are involved with each child on an average of 6 to 12 hours per month.

  3. Behavior Consultants provide evaluation, program development and modification, behavioral observations and as necessary, psychological testing. Behaviour Consultants are involved in individual consultations with the family and Case Supervisor, as well as, supervision of staff throughout clinic meetings.
  • Based on individual need, a child’s program may also include:
  • Social Group Sessions and “Play Dates”
  • Parent Training
  • Program Assessment
  • Psychological Testing
  • Counseling for Children and/or Parents
