Services for school professionals
Children with autism can often overcome these issues with the right support and training. This support can often be conducted in the context of school-based programme. Autism Partnership has created a wealth of options for schools to consider better preparing and training their teachers and we also offer a wide range of support services for students that school may not have the resources to provide.
Classroom Consultations
In order to run an effective classroom for students with autism, planning and organization is critical. Autism Partnership consultants can consult to individual classrooms, or the whole school to provide help in construction a model programme which has been implemented in some of the biggest school districts in the USA. Classroom constultation includes:

Often it may be decided by the school that a student with autism may benefit from having an aide to support them in the classroom. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to merely policing the student and increasing dependence on the extra support. To reduce these problems, Autism Partnership offer:

 |
Training to teacher assistants, school-employed or parent-employed shadows |
| |
 |
Special Needs Officers in a classroom |
| |
 |
Professional shadow support in a classroom |

Effective programming plans and supervisions for individual student developed by experienced consultants |
Individual Student Consultations
If assistance is needed for individual students, our consultants are available to work within existing supports in school to help coming up with a programme plan. Having a behavrioually based consultant can provide a different or insightful view as to possible options for treatment. We are very experienced in working within school systems and working as part of a team which oten consists of learning support coordinators, aides, speech therapists and teachers. After a plan is developed for the student, out consultants can also provide ongoing support by providing the necessary training and supervision to ensure the program is carried out effectively.

Apart from their post-graduate training, both psychologists receive extensive training and on-going supervision from our consultant psychologists in Los Angeles and from Dr. B.J.
