  • Equip parents and educators with the necessary skills to cope with problems arise from autism

Teaching Self Help Skills

Self-help skills are critical for independence and autonomy. Basic techniques of forward and backward chaining, prompting and task analysis will all be taught to tackle a myriad of different life skills such as dressing, completing homework, organizational skills, taking a shower, etc.

Participants will learn:

  1. How to apply the learned principles in teaching self-help skills
  2. What is forward and backward chaining?
  3. Advantages and disadvantages of these strategies
