As the saying goes ‘It takes a village to raise a child’. I am passionate about building this village which is building relationships with families/ staff, collaborating and working closely with them to work towards common goals for the child.

Wong Mai Shan (Clinical Director)

Wong Mai Shan (Clinical Director)

Wong Mai Shan holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oregon. Upon graduation, she was in charge of designing and setting up a preschool program at a local kindergarten. Following that, she was a Supervisor at a childcare centre. Since 1989, she has been working with children who have special needs. During her time at Dover Court Preparatory school, she was appointed the Centre Co-coordinator and worked with a wide range of children with different disabilities.

Her work with children with special needs continued at Horizon Centre for Special Education, where she was involved in the integration process of her students. She has been working with children with autism in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2001. She served as Autism Partnership’s school supervisor and oversaw the school program, Little Learners.

Mai Shan is presently the Clinical Director at AP Singapore, supervising case programs and overseeing training and development of staff. She is also a Behavior Consultant, providing services to families in Singapore and regionally.

MS. SHERRIANNE CHEAH

SITE DIRECTOR

SHERRIANNE CHEAH

Sherrianne Cheah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child Development from the University of Kansas. Since 1991, she has been working with children who have special needs. She was in charge of setting up curriculum and running the Early Intervention programs at Dover Court Preparatory School and Horizon Centre for Special Education. In addition, she had been involved in the integration process of her students. Before joining Autism Partnership, Sherrianne had her own private practice as a Remedial Therapist, working with both mainstream and children with special needs. She has been working with children with autism in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis since 2001, under the direct supervision of Dr Ronald Leaf, Dr John McEachin and Mr Toby Mountjoy. Since its inception in 2004, Sherrianne has been directly responsible for staff training and case management. She has also been instrumental in conducting social communication and skills workshops in both mainstream and special needs schools. She as been involved in international consults to families and institutions in the region. She has also conducted AP workshops and talks to agencies in Singapore. She is presently the Site Director of AP Singapore and has a Masters of Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis from St. Cloud State University.

MS. RESHANI SATHARASINGHE

BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT

Reshani Satharasinghe

Reshani Satharasinghe holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Biology from the National University of Singapore and has a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from St. Cloud State University. She has provided behavior therapy for children on the autism spectrum since the inception of our Singapore office in 2004, under the direction of Associate Director, Mr. Toby Mountjoy. In 2005, she was seconded to our office in Seal Beach, California to complete a 15 months internship, under the supervision of our Directors, Drs. Ronald Leaf and John McEachin.

Since her return in January 2007, she ran the training programme for new staff. She also provided intensive parent training through our Supernanny/Res-Q programme. In 2008, she became a Case Supervisor, providing clinical support and case management. In 2010, she completed a 5-month attachment to our UK office and worked as the Regional Coordinator of Services in Leeds.

She returned to Singapore in August 2010 to provide consultation, supervision and training to both clients, parents and staff in Singapore, as well as regionally. Reshani is currently a Behavior Consultant at AP Singapore and regularly conducts a series of training workshops, lectures and school consultations to both professionals and members of the public.

Reshani is also Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

MS. NURHAYATI ISMAIL

BEHAVIOR CONSULTANT

NURHAYATI ISMAIL

Nurhayati M Ismail is a Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from University of Southern Queensland and a Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Before joining Autism Partnership Singapore, she worked with both children and adults in a mental health facility, providing psycho-education and counselling as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Since 2003, Yati has been working with children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in one-on-one as well as school settings. After completing her supervisory training in our Hong Kong office under the direction of Mr. Toby Mountjoy in 2006, she has conducted staff training, intensive parent education groups as well as various workshops for teachers and professionals, parent consultation and public talks. She also oversees the Little Learners school program and social skills group for children of various ages.

Presently, she is a Behavior Consultant at AP Singapore, providing clinical support and case management to children in Singapore and overseas. She also conducts training, lectures and workshops for parents, schools and professionals in Singapore and internationally.

MS. EDITH KHO

SENIOR CASE SUPERVISOR

Edith Kho

Edith Kho holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Sydney, Australia. She started working with children at Autism Partnership Singapore in 2012. Her role includes working on a child’s behavior, communication, play, social and self-help skills in a one-on-one and group setting. She has also provided shadow-aide support for children transiting into mainstream schools.

Presently as a Senior Case Supervisor, Edith oversees The Mandarin Overseas Accelerate Program in Singapore. She works closely with the consultants to design individualized curriculum for the children and conducts parent training supervision.  Edith also been active in presenting talks to the local community, in raising awareness for Autism.

MS. SARAH SOTIRIOU

SENIOR CASE SUPERVISOR

Sarah Sotiriou

Sarah Sotiriou holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) from Queens University (Belfast, UK) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biological Sciences with an Honours in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh (Edinburgh, UK). 

Sarah joined Autism Partnership Singapore in 2011 as a Behavior Therapist. She has since been working with children in one-to-one setting, providing tailor-made therapy curriculum according to needs of child. Additionally, she worked with children in social skills group settings and provided shadow-aide support for children in mainstream schools. Her work includes parent training supervision.

Presently, Sarah is a Senior Case Supervisor at Autism Partnership Singapore overseeing the training of staff and curriculum design for families. In addition, she also does presentations for both parents and professionals to help the local community increase awareness of effective intervention for people with Autism.

Sarah is currently working towards her BCBA credential.

MS. LOH LI LING

CASE SUPERVISOR

Sarah Sotiriou

Loh Li Ling is currently a Case Supervisor at Autism Partnership Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from James Cook University, Australia.

Having worked at Autism Partnership Singapore since 2014, Li Ling has worked with many children of varied age groups, ranging from 2 to 16 years old in both one-to-one and classroom settings, with an average of 4 to 6 children per group. Her expertise in groups includes teaching children relevant skills required for school; to improve and have an understanding of appropriate social behaviors as well as to develop meaningful effects for one another. She is also a member of the Autism Partnership Singapore Jumpstart team.

Li Ling has also provided shadow-aide support for children in mainstream and international schools to assist and facilitate children to adapt to a school environment. She has conducted social groups, regularly bringing groups of children aged 10 and above on regular outings.

Li Ling also does parent and helper training to guide caregivers on managing their children in the everyday, natural setting.

MS. JEENA TAN

CASE SUPERVISOR

JEENA TAN

Jeena Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. She started her career with Autism Partnership Singapore in 2013 as a therapist and has since taken on various roles of increasing responsibilities. She has worked with children in both one-on-one therapy sessions and group settings. Additionally, Jeena has provided shadow-aide support for children in mainstream schools, as well as conducted parent training supervision.

In 2017, Jeena joined our Accelerate team to work with families from Indonesia and China. She also collaborated with Autism Partnership Hong Kong to run an intensive ABA intervention program in Beijing, designed to identify children’s individual programming needs and provide recommendations for follow-up intervention. In the same year, she also collaborated with our Hong Kong office to run a Parent Training workshop in Shanghai, China.

Presently, as a Case Supervisor at Autism Partnership Singapore, Jeena designs and oversees individualized programs for a wide variety of children across the spectrum, trains and mentors staff, and conducts talks for parents, schools, and professionals.

MS. JEAN LAU

PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

Jean Lau

Jean Lau holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oklahoma City University, USA. She joined Autism Partnership Singapore in 2012 and has since worked with children between the ages of 18 months to 16 years old.
 
Besides one-on-one teaching, Jean has provided shadow-aide support for children in preschools. She has assisted many children with their transition to mainstream schools as well as facilitated the building of their social skills. Jean also conducted social groups for children aged 10 and above. She is currently involved in caregiver training both in the home and community settings. 
 
In 2017,  Jean collaborated with Autism Partnership Hong Kong to provide intensive ABA intervention programs to children in Beijing.
 
In addition, Jean has also been active in presenting talks to the local community, in raising awareness for Autism.  Jean is also part of AP's international collaboration and outreach team to Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2019.

 

Jean is currently a Program Supervisor at Autism Partnership Singapore.
