Understanding autism, their challenges and how can we help – World Autism Awareness Month - Autism Partnership Singapore

This April, our team at Autism Partnership Singapore has created a series of videos that focus on sharing positive and accurate information about Autism. This is to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day and support individuals with Autism and those who love and support them. 💙 We invite you to learn more about Autism and join us in accepting and embracing their abilities.

1. Identifying signs and symptoms of autism and its prevalence rates

Do you know that April 2nd is internationally recognized as World Autism Awareness Day? World Autism Awareness Day is observed every year to raise awareness and understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). On this day, communities come together and thousands of people dress in BLUE to show support. Landmarks and buildings around the world also light up BLUE in the recognition of individuals

2. Challenges faced by children with autism and their families

Often, a child’s diagnosis affects the whole family so we believe that it is not only important to seek progress but to also, address the challenges they face. In Part 2 of our World Autism Awareness Day series, we address some challenges that children with autism and their families face.

3. Ways to support individuals with autism and their families as a society

In this final part of our World Autism Awareness Day series, we focus on sharing positive and accurate information about autism and identifying ways on how we can contribute to supporting individuals with autism and their families as a society. 💙👪🚸
